This pressure comes from the message that society conveys that says teenage pregnancy is unacceptable and frowned upon. The parents or sexual partner pushes for the abortion, unknowingly pushing these young girls into a life of mental pain. The vulnerability pushes these young girls to go through with the abortion, opening themselves up to a changed life that affects their mental state in a negative manner.
